As the market tightens the option of consignments means of optimized asset value has become more and more attractive to OEMS and contract manufacturers with excess component in their stock. Inventory has become a trusted partner to many companies who which maintain ownership of their material, while at the same time optimizing their opportunity to generate cash form their inventory. This is known as the “Consignment model”. Inventory Exchange will invest the time and its expertise in organizing, inspecting and marketing your inventory in our distribution warehouse. Essentially all our clients do is “collect a monthly check” as their inventory sells.
Here is how it works:
An inventory Exchange representative will come to your facility to pick up the goods in an Inventory Exchange vehicle and at our expense either Truck our goods. Alternatively it can also be shipped directly to our facility, depending on the size and weight of the lot of components. This frees up space in your warehouse and allows Inventory Exchange to handle all the logistics and shipping. Once received n to our warehouse we will inspect and catalog each piece. At that point we begin to market and advertise you inventory. Upon an accepted quote we will then pack, ship invoice and collect payment. Ultimately, we then cut a check to our consignment partner.
